v1.24 BETAPatch
October 12, 2026
New
- A thank-you gift. Every new player gets 200 free Outmarks as a thank-you for playing the beta. Claim it from the gift that pops up in the menu.
- Double Outmarks on your first purchase. Whichever Outmarks bundle you buy first, you get the same amount again as a bonus. One time only.
- What's new, when you're back. After an update, a quick summary of what changed pops up the first time you open the menu, with a link to the full patch notes.
Changes
- Short of Outmarks for something in the Item Shop or the Battle Pass? A "Get Outmarks" button takes you straight to the bundle that covers it.
- Your Outmarks balance in the top bar now has a "+" to get more.
Fixes
- Fixed your health and shield panel jumping to the left for a moment when your shield breaks.
v1.23 BETAPatch
October 12, 2026
New
- Smarter bots. Bots now fight from cover and peek out to shoot, hear your footsteps and gunfire, wait for the right moment to jump into someone else's fight (or stay out of it), pick up shields and healing when they're hurt (including what a teammate drops for them), and head for the safe zone earlier.
- Hide in bushes. Bots, henchmen and bosses can't see you in a bush unless they're right next to you or you start shooting.
- Reload bar. Your weapon's slot fills up while you reload.
- Knock notifications. Knock someone in Duos or Squads and you'll see "KNOCKED" with their name, in yellow.
- Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Game Rules. All three are now linked at the bottom of the main menu.
Changes
- Bots no longer know where you are once they lose sight of you. Sounds and shots only give them a rough idea, and they have to search for you.
- Bots move more naturally, with far less twitching back and forth.
- Knocks, revives, reboots and reboot cards now show in the kill feed instead of banners across your screen.
- The "You eliminated…" message in the middle of the screen is gone. The ELIMINATED popup is all you'll see.
- In Duos and Squads, you won't see your placement while a teammate is still in the match, because they can still reboot you.
- Every storm notice now plays the storm alert.
Fixes
- Fixed bots and henchmen getting stuck on the stairs at Aegis headquarters and the lodge.
- Fixed henchmen getting stuck behind walls while chasing someone.
- Fixed a map marker cancelled right after placing it staying on the map with a frozen circle.
- Fixed the game sometimes freezing on a plain brown screen during a match.
v1.22 BETAPatch
October 11, 2026
New
- Victory Royale sound. Winning a match now has its own sound as the Victory Royale screen comes up.
- Keycard ping. Picking up a keycard plays its own ping as the line to its vault appears.
Changes
- The storm sounds more like a storm: you hear its wall rumbling from further away, louder as you get close and from the side it's on, and its sound inside builds up as you go deeper.
Fixes
- Fixed elimination sounds not playing.
v1.21 BETAPatch
October 11, 2026
New
- Freefall feels like falling. Wind rushes past the edges of your screen while you skydive, leaning the way you steer, until your glider opens.
- Staff badges. Teammates who are part of the Outlands team (Founder, Developers, Moderators and more) have a badge by their name in your team list. Hover it to see their role.
Changes
- The "ELIMINATED" notification is smaller and sits just under your crosshair.
- The storm's haze now fades in and out smoothly as you walk into and out of the storm, and the storm's edge stays easy to see.
- Removing a friend now asks you to confirm first.
- Bots have more natural names, and some of them thank the driver on the Skyhauler.
Fixes
- Fixed henchmen, bosses and bots twitching back and forth during fights.
v1.20 BETASharper Edges
October 11, 2026
New
- Smarter bots. Bots aim more like real players: they react, track and miss like people do, and get better from Easy to Elite. They also pick up better weapons, break through things in their way and no longer get stuck in buildings.
- Eliminations you can feel. An "ELIMINATED" banner with the player's name pops up for each of your eliminations, with new sounds for your eliminations, eliminations close to you, and your own.
- Keycard guidance. Carrying a keycard shows a gold line on your map and minimap leading to its vault, down the right stairs or entrance when the vault is underground or upstairs.
- Storm line. Caught in the storm? A line on your map and minimap shows the quickest way back to safety and follows you as you move.
- Drop as much ammo as you like. Right-click an ammo slot (or long-press on mobile) to choose how much to drop for your teammates or anyone else.
- Gifts. You may now receive gifts like Outmarks or Locker items. They show up when you log in, and you hold to claim them.
- Restart notices. You'll see a heads-up in the menu before the servers restart for an update.
Changes
- Big performance improvements: smoother frames in busy areas and fewer stutters, and lighter servers.
- Backpacks and Cola are no longer found as loot.
- The HAZEL Jumpsuit has been removed. Anyone who had it has been refunded with a gift.
- The map has autumn colors.
- Storm notifications have their own sound, and the storm's one-minute reminder no longer plays a regular ping sound.
Fixes
- Fixed map markers not appearing (only the sound played).
- Fixed sign-in saying it couldn't connect even though it worked, and friends not loading until you refreshed.
- Fixed a sign-in error on some iPhones.
- Fixed sound stopping on some phones and tablets.
v1.10 BETASquad Up
October 10, 2026
New
- Duos and Squads. Team up with Fill or No Fill, see teammates off screen with arrows and their distance, and keep track of everyone on the team panel.
- Reboot Vans. Fallen teammates drop a Reboot Card. Grab it and bring it to one of the Reboot Vans around the map to bring them back. While you're carrying a card, the vans show on your map.
- Friends and parties. Add friends, see who's online and what they're up to, invite them to your party and queue together. You'll get a small heads-up when a friend comes online (it can be muted).
- Pings and map markers. Hold the ping key and pick from the wheel to mark enemies, loot, danger or where to go. Click the full map to drop a marker your whole team can see.
- Guarded locations. Henchmen and bosses hold some of the island's locations, with their own music that builds as they notice you. Discover every named location to fill in your map.
- Bots. Matches fill up with bots that loot, rotate with the storm and fight back.
- Storm alerts. New notifications at the top of the screen tell you when the storm is forming, when the eye starts shrinking and when it's the final circle. The storm now forms as soon as the Skyhauler leaves.
- Sprinting. Run faster with a stamina bar.
- Roof slides. Land on a roof and you'll slide off its edge to the ground.
- Escape menu. A new in-match menu, with a confirmation before you leave.
- Graphics settings. Low, Medium and High quality presets, a frame rate cap, an automatic resolution that adjusts to keep the game smooth, and a performance overlay. Weak graphics chips start on Low automatically.
- Post-match surveys. Every other match you may get one quick question about how it went. Your answers help us decide what to work on.
Changes
- Inventory: lots of quality-of-life improvements to picking up, dropping and swapping items. Ammo can be dropped in Solo too.
- Eliminated players drop their ammo as one pile per type instead of a scattered mess.
- Chests no longer give Common (grey) weapons.
- Reporting a player now sends the report straight to our moderators.
- Staff and testers now have tags next to their names.
- More clouds in the sky on the way down, and the storm sweeps in when it forms.
- Bots move around fights instead of twitching side to side.
- Thank the pilot on your way out of the Skyhauler.
Fixes
- Fixed the game slowing down and turning blurry while you were in the storm, and at the start of a match, on laptop graphics chips.
- Fixed pings landing in the wrong place (or the corner of the map).
- Fixed deaths not counting in Career and K/D.
- Fixed some Locker changes (skin, music) not saving.
- Fixed the graphics breaking on some AMD laptop chips.
- Fixed the beta notice sometimes popping up over a match.
